While working on the web design assignment I acquired a few new skills such as learning how to embed code into a website and add a creative commons license to my website. I found the assignment to be very enjoyable and I liked being able to be creative and design my own website how I wanted it to look. Furthermore, I enjoyed researching the information that I was implementing into my website because it made me think and be precise on the information I wanted to be on my website. However, one thing that I did not like is being restricted by the free websites limitations on creativity. Going forward in my future career learning how to create my own website so I can advertise my own business will be very resourceful.      Link: https://mrrichards12thgradepsych.weebly.com/     Since I've been using Diigo I've learned how to highlight and annotate websites. I've learned what information needs to be highlighted and what is important. ...

I visited a high school math teacher's website and browsed her website to see what kind of information she had on her site. On her site she had an assignment calendar, practice test, instructional videos, educational websites and resources, and information about herself. I found the website to be very helpful especially for high school students because the website has almost all of the resources that students at that level would need to succeed. Furthermore, it is very easy to navigate the website and the organization is very neat.      I envision myself using technology in my professional career as a means to be very efficient with my work. In my opinion efficient is one of the greatest attributes that a professional can have because it shows diligence and great time management. I see myself utilizing numerous academic and cloud storage based applications in order to complete my work effectively and efficiently. Furthermore, I will be using...

My initial experiences using Diigo were not that good because I struggled to use the site. I found Diigo to be very complicated for doing such simple tasks. I like that Diigo allows you to share what you've highlighted on the webpage and marked up. However, I wish there was a cloud storage system for all of the marked up web pages so I can save them myself.      My experiences with blogging have been very lackluster because I like to articulate my thoughts and emotions with my voice not with words on a computer. Sometimes I find myself struggling with composing sentences and framing sentences the right way because I am unsure of how to best present myself and my thoughts. However, I do believe that it is a good introductory resource to the internet and a good way to keep tabs on students. Furthermore I believe that blogging may be the best option for some people to express themselves if they struggle with verbal conversations.      An i...

I've been using twitter for about six years now, but I generally do not interact with anyone. I mainly use twitter just for sports and music news. I also use twitter to keep up with current events by looking to see what is trending. Twitter may be helpful in my future career as a way to post my research findings and as a way to market myself. I hope to become a clinical psychologist in the future and twitter would be a way I could have a public platform and interact with my colleagues in the field or share helpful information that I or someone else finds. Furthermore, as an educator Twitter can be used as a gauge to see how active my students are on social media.     The digital divide affects students success on a multitude of levels. First, students who do not have reliable access to the internet may struggle to complete classwork because of a lack of resources. Furthermore, some of the causes of the digital divide are a lack of resources and a lack...
